Sharing Joy

I've experienced my fair share of miracles. Marlon's healing of stage 4 cancer was a major one! On May 29th, Marlon and I, along with 150 of our service users and their family members, witnessed a little miracle of God. It was a private big screen viewing in Kowloon Bay of the movie, "Miracles from Heaven".

A few months ago, our dear friend, Jack Yeung, was invited to a movie premier for the faith-based film starring Jennifer Garner. It's an incredible true story about the Beam family. When Christy Beam (Jennifer Garner) discovers that her 10-year-old daughter, Anna, had a rare, incurable disease, she desperately searches for a healing solution. I don't want to give the rest away (a must see for yourself)!

Jack was so touched by the film that he wanted to share it with others, so he contacted us. He asked if he could treat the service users at our Sau Mau Ping and Long Ping Centres to see the movie. He even organized the transport!

Many of our families from these two centres live in poverty. Going to the movies is a luxury. For many years now, our Long Ping and Sau Mau Ping centres have been working with local churches and individuals to help youth and poor families in the Tin Shui Wai and Yuen Long areas who are often deprived of even the simplest enjoyment.

We're so thankful to Jack and his giving heart. His wife Doris and children Natalie, Katrina and Serena also attended the event, as did Mrs. Kwong, the pastor's wife from the Tin Shui Wai church network. She prayed over our group. The film was truly inspiring and filled with the message of hope that only comes from God above! Although many do not yet believe in him, everyone told me how meaningful the movie was to them.

I know that what they saw and heard has planted seeds in their hearts. Pray with me that God will ensure their growth!
