On 8 March, it was International Women's Day. Women from different socio-economic and ethnic backgrounds joined together in Hong Kong to celebrate their achievements against a backdrop of gender inequality. When Hong Kong was still a Crown colony, Tim was in the British Royal Navy. As a Chief Petty Officer, he was in the highest military rank among the ethnic Chinese soldiers serving in the Navy. After the transfer of sovereignty, Tim then joined a large group as a storeroom-in-charge for handling procurement matters for the Wharf group.

We hosted our very first Chinese New Year Carnival and Open Day this year to celebrate the Year of the Rooster!

Chinese New Year brings in a festive month of events, not only in Hong Kong, but also around the world. The Year of the Rooster, which kicked off on 28 January 2017, was celebrated in Asian communities worldwide. While people were marking the occasion with an array of activities and events, I felt particularly warmed when I received greetings from children that CA had helped in the past.
