Who Will Be Hong Kong’s Next Models of Love and Justice?

Despite the threat of heavy rain, 1,000 volunteers and participants were jumping with excitement at the Clearwater Bay Golf & Country Club for this year’s 3-Legged Easter Island Adventure on the 12th of April 2025. Although everyone came prepared with raincoats and umbrellas, God granted us clear skies and a day filled with fun, games, and laughter. More than just an adventure, the event carried a deeper purpose — raising funds for underprivileged families, the elderly, ethnic minorities, orphans, and children with disabilities. And unlike traditional fundraising events, this was a day to celebrate, connect, and make a difference—proving that doing good can also be wickedly joyful and uplifting!

At the kick-off ceremony, I stood alongside six Caring Ambassadors—Mr. Kimman Wong, Ms. Mei Ni Cheung, Ms. Pamela Cheung, Ms. Icy Wong, Ms. Ophelia Chung, and Ms. Inez Leong, the Clearwater Bay Golf & Country Club’s Wellness Ambassador. The atmosphere was electric, with fans cheering for their beloved pop artists, and when we declared, “Let the adventure begin!”, excitement filled the air.

Amazingly, this was Christian Action’s 40th Anniversary celebration! Our theme, “40 Years of Faith in Action,” reflects our commitment to compassion, justice, and transformation. With heartfelt enthusiasm, I invited everyone to follow God’s call - “May we always strive to do good, seek justice, and uplift those in need.” Isaiah 1:17.

As I walked along the ground later, I couldn’t stop grinning as I watched kids dash across the field, eager to explore their favorite booths. From Taekwondo kicks to STEM drone flying, there was something for everyone. Following the excited crowd, I reached a booth run by fans of Keung To, where fun games, easy wins, and stacks of prizes awaited eager hands.

For 40 years, Christian Action has built a community of charity supporters and generous donors. Through God’s grace, we remain steadfast in our mission. May this legacy of love continue to flourish and inspire all the young parents and children who attended to continue to model love and justice for generations to come!
