She has a FAMILY!



Here's some fantastic news! Xiao Shan, who stole our hearts two years ago, has been adopted! This delightful child, abandoned on our grounds at the age of two because she was deaf and dumb, now has a loving Mum and Dad and even a big brother! Hitting her head in frustration is very definitely in her past!

How Are The Kids?

Isn't that a question we often ask friends because we're interested in the development of their children?    I'm glad I'm asked that question too, because so many of you care deeply for the kids in our care who have no parents devoted to their growth and development.  I can't give you details of all our 450 plus children, but here's an update on some of the kids I told you about last year.

Xiao Shan Never Hits Herself Now

Here's more good news for you about our little girl, Xiao Shan, who was generously given two cochlear implants (see Xiao Shan's Story).  On Sunday June 21st, she came to my church which is near the water, where she enjoyed the scenery and the sea breeze which she doesn't have in Xining.  We all prayed for her because she'll be going to Beijing today, July 7th, to begin two years of speech therapy!
