Freedom Is Incredibly Precious

Nowhere to call home: there are over 35 million refugees in the world and Hong Kong is a temporary refuge to less than 1% of them. For those weary travelers we provide Hong Kong's only comprehensive service center.

Now for some Heart-warming News!

After the last few weeks covering the earthquake in Yushu and all we will be doing with the orphanage there, it's good to share some wonderful news about Shanna, a child who has left our Xining Children's Home and is now ecstatically happy and settled. Her parents now want to thank YOU for what you did for the little deaf girl we once called Shan Shan...

The Ultimate Sacrifice

With the two orphans from Yushu orphans school, Kekyi Wangmo and Jangba Tsering.

I'm sure every parent reading this wouldn't hesitate about laying down your life to save the life of one of your children.  Whether any of us would risk our lives for someone else's child is a question we may never have to face.  One humble truck driver from Hong Kong made the ultimate sacrifice when he lost his life saving orphaned children in Yushu.

Working in a Shattered World

We may make plans, but only the hard-hearted refuse to change those plans when tragedy strikes. Christian Action was not scheduled to begin serving the orphans of Yushu until a new orphanage had been built, but the earthquake shattered all the schedules and I'm glad we could immediately begin to serve the suffering people of Yushu.
