A New Branch for our Birds!

Praise God that we recently opened our third Community Sales Outlet! It will serve underprivileged groups and neighbourhood residents. It is another “branch” of our “mustard tree” where “birds” can perch. Trees can and do grow from the smallest seeds! (Matthew 13:31-32) How beautiful is the Kingdom of God?

Food Station Festivities

A huge smile spread across Cody’s face as he received a mooncake. It was the first time he had ever been given a mooncake. It was as big as his hand! Before his mother said a word, Cody ripped open the package and gobbled up the mooncake. His mother laughed and said, “We need to save the mooncakes for Mid-Autumn Festival!” But Cody simply looked at her in wonder - he loved his mooncake!

Mooncakes and other traditional festive foods are delicious delicacies that cost the same as a meal for a family of three. Internship Opportunities for the Disabled

I am happy to welcome Wing Chun to Christian Action as our Green Connect intern. Hong Kong Society for Rehabilitation referred her to our Social Enterprise Department (SED) through their internship programme.

Wing Chun was born with a motor disability that limits her body function on her left side. For the first 14 years of her life, she suffered from epilepsy caused by a brain aneurysm. She was often hospitalised and wasn’t able to attend school. Miraculously, the aneurysm dissolved by itself and Wing Chun could finally start to live a normal and meaningful life.

Mooncakes Give Hope!

Happy Mid-Autumn Festival!

I am so pleased with the results of our Season of Love Mooncake Charity Drive. We have sold over 3,700 mooncakes and raised funds that will abundantly support our services in Hong Kong and Qinghai. About one thousand mooncakes have been donated to low-income families for the upcoming holiday. We are so grateful to our donors and sponsors for their generosity in supporting our Charity Drive.
