#WorldAdoptionDay

9 November is World Adoption Day, which is a day to celebrate families brought together by adoption. It started in 2014 to raise awareness about adoption and to support families along the adoption journey.
I love that this holiday exists because we at Christian Action are very passionate about adoption and the importance of family. After all, we are all adopted by God as His children! I am a daughter of the King of Kings and I praise the Lord for this identity every day.
“In love he predestined us for adoption to himself as sons through Jesus Christ, according to the purpose of his will…” Ephesians 1:5 (ESV)
It is my hope that each child in our Children’s Homes in Qinghai knows and feels God’s adoption and acceptance into His family. He calls us to look after orphans (James 1:27) and that is why we strive to give the best quality care to our children living in our Children’s Homes in China.
Over the past 20 years, Christian Action has had the honour of being a part of more than 200 adoption journeys. Before even meeting their forever families, we prepared each child for the transition by giving them gifts from their parents, showing them photos of each family member, and placing them in foster care families.
Whether you’ve adopted a child, were adopted, or just care a lot about adoption, please celebrate World Adoption Day with us. Anyone can participate by drawing a smiley face on their hand and sharing a photo of it on social media with the hashtag #WorldAdoptionDay. Have you joined us celebrating #WorldAdoptionDay on Tuesday, 9 November 2021? Please support us and donate to care for orphans.
