It’s Astonishing How Much We Do for Women

I love listening to feedback from first time visitors to Christian Action. They’ll say things like: ‘I had no idea that so many of your programmes are tailored specifically to women and children!’- and they are right!

The International Women’s Day was yesterday, and it made me reflect on how much we’ve done to recognize women’s achievements and serve and advocate for them.

Time Is Running Out - Join In To Win!

"My 15-year-old son means everything to me. He has a heart condition and I care for him in our 90 square foot subdivided unit. During the pandemic we couldn't afford healthy food and I was terrified that malnutrition would affect his heart.

Then Christian Action put us on their Emergency Food Programme beneficiaries list. Now we receive a monthly supply of rice, cooking oil and nutritious foods. My son's health is no longer at risk, I am no longer anxious and we can focus on rebuilding our lives. I am very grateful to Christian Action for helping us in our time of need."

Christian Action’s 38th Anniversary Volunteer Awards

Last week, on February 7th we hosted a unique, first-ever event at our headquarters building to honour all the volunteers who have served so selflessly over the past 38 years.

The 38th Anniversary Volunteer Awards Ceremony also sought to educate our youth about volunteerism, the opportunities for engagement, and how our community’s needs can be ameliorated in the process.

Since 1993 we have helped nearly 300,000 vocational students graduate with new work skills - and with a newly opened Centre we now have the capacity to train even more! Our training programmes are designed to meet the marketplace’s demand for skilled workers while also meeting the needs of trainees and local communities.
