Mission 21 Renews Its Support of Our Work with Refugees and Exploited Women

"And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.” Romans 8:28

God is alive and active. He continued to remind me of that fact throughout my time at the World Council of Churches 11th Assembly when He orchestrated meeting after unplanned meeting with key supporters of Christian Action’s work!

Fellowshipping with a Rabbi, Russian and Greek Orthodox Priests and Representatives from Around the World

‘Christ’s love moves the world to reconciliation and unity’
Theme of World Council of Churches

Christ is not an 18-Wheeler Truck!

From England, Marlon and I traveled to the 11th Assembly of the World Council of Churches in Germany. I was honoured to attend as a representative of the Hong Kong Christian Council (HKCC) with HKCC’s Chairman, Rev. Wong Ka Fai, and Rev. Jennifer Leung, HKCC’s 2nd Vice-Chairperson.

I then noticed the numerals ‘9669’ in a smaller font - the same four digits that happen to be the extension number to my office on Christian Action’s switchboard! I took this to be Jesus’ reminder that He would be with us at this conference!

As Iron Sharpens Iron

‘As iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another.’
Proverbs 27:17
NIV

During my most recent trip to the UK, Marlon and I were blessed to catch-up with four very special ‘giants’ in my life. Their love of others and their love for God has left an indelible mark on the lives of so many people - not least of whom are Marlon and myself.

A Big Thank You to Christian Action UK Board Members and Supporters

It was with mixed emotions that Marlon and I caught up with Christian Action UK Board Members during my visit to the UK. CAUK became a registered charity in 2007 through the selfless hard work of former Hong Kong Board Members and supporters who had returned to the UK. They have devoted years of their life to raising awareness and donations for the orphaned, handicapped and abandoned children in Qinghai Province and they have decided that it is now time to close. They have done a stellar job, and I am forever grateful to them.
