Plenteous Joy and Continuous Prosperity

Happy Year of the Monkey! Chinese New Year is a time for family reunions. This week, friends and family around the world take time to visit each other, and give lucky money (lai see) to kids. And of course whenever Chinese people gather, food abounds! During this exciting time of year, there is a different mood filling the streets and peoples' hearts. There are many reasons why I enjoy the season, but my favourite has to be the welcoming of good wishes and blessings. One of the most common being "恭喜發財/ Kung Hei Fat Choy!" which means, "Wishing you happiness and prosperity in the coming year!"

My blessing for every CA friend and family member this CNY is that we would come to know and experience plenteous joy and continuous prosperity in Jesus. This blessing is prosperity for your soul. It is a joy that transcends all circumstances, and which no one can take away.

I pray that you and yours "will be blessed by the LORD, the Maker of heaven and earth" in the year to come! (Psalm 115:15)
