Our Seventh Three-Legged Charity Walk

Last month, over 800 men, women and children joined us in walking to change the lives of the children we serve in Qinghai and Hong Kong. Despite the rainy day, everyone enjoyed the event. And the rain didn't come down until the end!

To start the day, I welcomed everyone, and expressed my excitement at having a fun-filled day with them. The walk was made even more special by the 400 beneficiaries in attendance, including our ethnic minority friends and children from low-income families. It warmed my heart to witness harmony among different groups of people who took time to interact with one another.

Tsui Wing, our caring ambassador, made the afternoon even more memorable by bringing his family. He shared that he was happy to have his daughter join him and learn more about helping children in need. As a father, he wants to raise her to be a person who thinks of others.

Apart from the walk, the day was full of fun and exciting activities. For the second time, we had football training by Chelsea FC Soccer School HK, plus an exhilarating 3-Legged Fun Race; a Foot Golf and Putting tournament, the family carnival, and the "Qinghai Children School Day" Experiential Workshop. The workshop educated attendees about the challenges faced by our children with special needs in Qinghai.

My heart is filled with gratitude for all the staff who worked hard to ensure the success of this event. The funds raised will be used to continue growing and supporting our services for vulnerable children.

I'd like to thank the Clearwater Bay Golf & Country Club and its chairman, Mr. Huen Wong BBS, JP, for allowing us to host our event once again at this beautiful location. I would also like to acknowledge and express my gratitude to our dedicated Christian Action and Christian Action Asia Board Members who attended the walk, Dr. Yue, Mrs. Drina Yue, Mr. Vincent Lam, and Pastor Sherman; also to our Caring Ambassador, Mr. Tsui Wing; and our Caring Coach, Mr. Leslie Santos.

I'm also very grateful to God for the roaring success of our event. I pray that this year's walk has inspired even more people to serve the unserved.
