Because the problem is so widespread and has existed for so long, it is often accepted as the norm. God however, commands us to ‘act justly’ - and that means taking action.

Sing Yin Secondary School to the Rescue

Love is a verb. It’s not a theory or emotion. We see it in the most famous bible passage in the world, John 3:16:

“For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life”.

Christian Action gives schools and organizations the opportunity to love others by volunteering with us. This can be done in and around our Head Office and also at many of our other locations throughout Hong Kong.

The Parable of the Sheep that Went Missing

How do you help someone in need? I have often been asked that question. It is usually worded something like: “I saw a homeless person recently and I wanted to help but I didn’t know what to do!”

It’s not always the homeless. Sometimes people mention someone who is unemployed (or underemployed), a person who has been abused, discriminated against, is an immigrant, elderly, lonely or hungry. And they genuinely want advice and may need interim support!

Our Centre for Refugees Pulls Off Another Great Event

Just last week, on June 25th, we held an event at PMQ in Central to showcase the bravery, resilience, culture, and hope of refugees. Our Centre for Refugees (CFR) staff, volunteers, refugees and asylum seekers performed and held henna, tinikling (bamboo dancing), African Djembe demonstrations and handicraft activities. Our goal was to engender a greater acceptance of Hong Kong’s refugee community and their culture.
