Building Bonds with Cookies and Muffins

'Cooking is at once child's play and adult joy. And cooking done with care is an act of love.' I believe that cooking can also be an inspired tool for building community.

Christian Action has been blessed with some truly wonderful partner companies who have a real heart for our mission. Just recently for example, the staff from Ares SSG participated in a cooking class we held for children in our after-school childcare programme and it was a blast!

Unity in Diversity

Employers and Employees Together Helping Hong Kong to Recover

Christian Action is very involved in helping Hong Kong to recover from the 5th wave of COVID earlier this year. Our multi-pronged approach includes holding job fairs, the most recent of which was held on June 8th at Yue Man Square, Kwun Tong.

Suddenly Everyone can participate in Christian Action’s Flag Day 2022

I am pleased to announce that on Wednesday, July 27th Christian Action will be holding our first fundraising ‘Flag Day’ since the start of COVID two years ago!

It is because of people like you, who donated, fundraised, volunteered and prayed, that we were able to get help to Hong Kong’s most needy children and families through these last two years of COVID.

From Defeat to Triumph

Hussain became a refugee and asylum seeker when he was just 19 years old. Forced to flee his home in Somalia, he eventually found his way to Hong Kong in 2010.

Shortly thereafter he nervously entered our Centre for Refugees (CFR) in Chung King Mansions and was told that in order to survive he had to learn English.
