A Mother's Thoughts for Mother's Day

I am the proud mother of my son Danial, and through our work at Christian Action, I am also the mother of many of the abandoned and disabled children in Qinghai. They call me 'Cheung Mama' when I visit them!

Our work at Christian Action is funded by the generosity of donors, and over the years, we have developed social enterprises that further reach our Hong Kong neighbours while also funding our programmes in Qinghai.

Mother's Day is a perfect time to tell you about one of our recent ventures. It is The Olive Leaf*, a floral shop located in Tsuen Wan West MTR station. The aim is to share the joy of flowers with the neighbourhood while providing employment for low-income people. In addition to selling flowers, one of the goals of The Olive Leaf* is to offer workshops that will equip people to work in the floral industry.

I send you kindness and love this Mother's Day, whether you are a mother or plan to celebrate a mother in your life. And if you are looking for something special to share love with a mother in your life, consider purchasing from the olive leaf*. You will be multiplying your impact with that simple act!

To find the perfect bouquet for your mother or mother figure, visit the website or visit the shop at Tsuen Wan West MTR.

Happy Mother's Day to all mothers reading this post!

Our Sixth Three-legged Walk!

For six years we have had a fun-filled day with a purpose as we have gathered to support children in need.

Again this year it was a wonderful event, in a beautiful location thanks to Clearwater Bay Golf and Country Club. There were even more challenges this year.

A Voice for the Voiceless

We went on site visit to Hung Fuk Estate in Yuen Long in 2016. Click here to read the Housing Authority’s press release!

The odds are stacked against low-income families in Hong Kong. At Christian Action, we believe that Jesus has called us to be a voice for the voiceless, so it has been my honour to do just that. From 2012 to early 2018 I have been a member of the Subsidised Housing Committee, which is part of Hong Kong Housing Authority.
