Jeff the Change Maker Featured in SCMP

The South China Morning Post recently featured a video about the fascinating life of Jeffrey Andrews and Christian Action's Centre for Refugees. I am so pleased to see that the feature has reached the attention of many internet users. There have been more than 200,000 views - and still counting. Jeff is our Social Worker at the Christian Action Centre for Refugees based in Chungking Mansions.

The Power of Giving

It's such a wonderful feeling to spend time with our families during Chinese New Year, sharing in traditions and good fortune with those we love. Those little red packets - or lai see as we like to call them - always give us happy memories. It is normal for us to use our lai see money for ourselves, as it is a gift to us personally. But I wonder what would happen if we started thinking in a different way? What about using that money to help people who are truly in need?

Moving Out & Moving On!

You may know the feeling of excitement that comes with moving from one home to another. It may be the change of scenery or the opportunity for a fresh start, but whatever it is, there's usually something to look forward to. I feel the same about our upcoming move to Choi Wan Estate. I believe my colleagues feel the same way. We are all preparing for the change and the opportunity to reach out to the new community and make connections with local organisations, churches, and government officials of the Wong Tai Sin district.

CA Blessing Story Series: The Wonderful World of Maddie

Christian Action has always hoped and dreamt that the disabled and abandoned children of Qinghai would have a place they can finally call home. This hope has been the driving force that led us to care for over 1,400 children for over 20 years. Our ministry has blessed us as much as we have been a blessing to the children in our care.

To cap off our blessing stories series, I am sharing with you the story of Maddie, a sweet little girl you may remember as I have previously said that she was learning ballet.
