Piecing Life Together

Our current headquarters at New Horizons Building and the surrounding area was once known as Kai Tak Refugee Camp. It was a temporary home for thousands of people who fled Vietnam in the 70's and 80's. They were often referred to as the Vietnamese Boat People. A Cheerful Giver

As a child, I couldn't wait until Chinese New Year. In the days leading up to the celebrations two words filled my mind: red packets (laisee)! Like children waiting for Christmas morning in other countries, my life was consumed with the excitement of what I would receive, and what I would buy when I opened my laisee packets - each one stuffed with money!

Imagine my emotions this year, when I was told about the heart attitude of Mark, one of our very disabled children in Qinghai.
